Role Description:
Full-time on-site role for a Physical Therapist at iWellness Veterans Center in Santiago de los Caballeros.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify patients' functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings after the evaluation by the Physiatrist physician working on patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound), and neuromuscular re-education.
- Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, safe movement techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Promote patient independence and functional recovery through rehabilitation strategies.
Qualifications
- Medicine and Physical Therapy skills
- Experience in Rehabilitation and Patient Care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist
