1. Job Summary
AMLAT PCS Wireless has an open position for a Bilingual (English & Spanish) Service Desk Analyst. This position assists staff with technical support by administering desktop computers, applications, and related technologies. Support includes administration and installation of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve both unique, non-recurring problems as well as recurring issues such as password reset. The employee in this position also assists in the administration and maintenance of network servers and associated equipment. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving.
2. Essential Job Functions
PC/Mac Administration:
Hard-drive Administration including Defrag, deletion and cleanup
Administration of Operating Systems such as Windows XP,
Windows 7 and Vista PC workstations and Laptops
Administration of Unix OS
Administration of Virus management tools
PC Support:
Troubleshooting and resolving issues
Basic Domain Configuration, Installation and Administration of
New Workstations
File and Folder Permissions Administration
Desk Top User training / Warehouse Worker Onboarding
Printer repair, administration, and installation (Laser and Thermal)
Peripheral equipment supports and administration, Cell Phones,
Desk Phones, PDA’s.
PBX Phone System Support
Support of remote offices by RDP, Phone and E-mail
Software Support:
Microsoft Office Suite and 0365 administration
Order processing System administration
MS Exchange administration
Adhering to PCS VPN, Firewall, Symantec, Backup Exec and FTP solutions
Administering Backup and Disaster Recovery
3. Job Specifications
a) General:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science desired
2 years of experience as a PC Technician
b) Skills & Abilities:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware
Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers
Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems
Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing multiple priorities and projects
