About the role:
You will manage the manufacturing plans, analyze the history and sales projections to create, organize, adjust and control the ERP / MRP master scheme and the monthly Production plans, including the release of weekly production orders and adjustments made.
You'll plan schedules and coordinates all planning and control activities, this requires providing product availability to customers, scheduling the production master plan, capacity planning and control of production activity.
Your role is responsible for planning and managing the working relationship between internal stakeholders and external manufacturers including management of the flow of product(s). Your position will support life cycle management and new product development within contract manufacturers.
Your key duties and responsibilities:
Issue and manage Purchase Orders based on a balanced approach of MRP (i.e SAP) requirements with consideration to historical information, forecasts, sales, shelf life and other available intelligence prior to finalizing orders for the firm horizon period.
Provide a forecast for external manufacturers
Actively monitor backorders and low stocks and sets priorities and coordinates availability dates
Manage and control Freight cost based on rate cards and volume.
Manage production capacity based on suppliers.
Manage changes like component or labelling changes.
Achieves customer service level and inventory targets
Preform necessary transactions in SAP system to record consumption, productions, goods receipts. Maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile inventories
Support new product development teams by scheduling trial time, coordinating materials, assuring proper set-up of MRP system (SAP), and other activities related to launch
Support based business continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost savings)
Establishes and maintains relationships with internal Supply Chain, Sale & Marketing, Engineering, Sourcing and QA in support of timely delivery and release of product
Serve as liaison with vendors and External Partners and monitors due date adherence
Coordinates supply of internally manufactured and/or externally manufactured components
Measures and reports on Key Performance Indicators i.e. Customer Service.
Allocate and redeploy from main source plants.
Actively pursue the resolution of possible quality issues within the Supply Chain and in accordance with the company’s quality policies

About you:
Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering highly preferred.
CPIM or CSCP certification from APICS, highly preferred
Qualified candidates will have a clear understanding of Supply Chain concepts and strategies within a fast moving manufacturing environment.
Maintains and develops a full understanding of the Production resources, capacities and constraints within their supply chain and the Customers Service and Financial aspects of the products under their responsibility.
Fully conversant with all aspects of the Purchasing, Production Planning and Manufacturing Execution modules of SAP, must be able to exhibit a high level of technical understanding of the business system process.
Experience in a Logistics, Purchasing or Planning role within a fast moving manufacturing environment. Operational experience managing processes that impact inventory, cycle times and customer service.
Understanding of the financial requirements in terms of volumes, costs and recovery is a plus.
