Senior Accountant - Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are searching for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Department at our Santo Domingo office, reporting to headquarter in New York City. The company is a NYC-based start-up financed by Shell Energy North America. Candidate will be reporting to the company\xc2\x92s Accounting Manager.\r
Job Responsibilities: \r
We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper with 5 years experience in the following:\r
\tQuickBooks\r
\tSupport A/P, A/R functions including invoice entry, sales and purchase orders\r
\tManaging A/P inquires and vendor payments\r
\tA/R and collections\r
\tEnsure accuracy in general ledger\r
\tRevenue reconciliation\r
\tAssist other accounting department members\r
\tPrepare weekly reports for managements\r
\tAssist local payroll manager with payroll
Requerimientos:
Qualifications:\r
Experience in all areas of accounting, GL reconciliation an journal creation and posting.\r
Ability to work in fast-paced department, and ability to change priorities based on management\'s direction.\r
Ability and willingness to take on ad hoc accounting projects.\r

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years of experience\r
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or related field, preferred\r
\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge in Excel and QuickBooks are necessary\r
\xc2\xb7 Proven organizational ability and attention to detail is a MUST\r
\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical skills\r
\xc2\xb7 Must be detail oriented with excellent communication, interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills\r
\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively\r
\xc2\xb7 Must be able to multi-task on a wide range of projects\r
\xc2\xb7 Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible and able to work within and meet deadlines\r
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook and especially Excel)
