Funciones
Under normal supervision, performs engineering work to achieve and maintain the highest possible product quality levels and regulatory compliance in their assigned area. Leads and supports team efforts to improve quality systems and tools company-wide. Frequently uses and applies technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Understands the companies practices, policies, and basic therapies and uses the knowledge effectively in its application
-This includes developing and implementing quality-data monitoring programs and systems for tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.
-Identify control points and develop and/or approve methods for inspection, testing, sampling and training.
-Lead or support failure investigations and ensure that systematic problem solving methods are employed and results are properly documented.
-Ensure medical device controls are completed before new products are released to manufacturing.
-Present trended quality data to the business group and cross-functional quality meetings for their assigned area with recommendations for actions and prioritization.
-Monitor compliance to regulatory and company requirements.
-Offer recommendations and lead or participate in efforts to improve the quality and manufacturing systems in order to maximize product throughput and obtain the specified quality level.
-Use ingenuity in evaluating technical problems. Perform work on difficult projects or on projects of broad scope that have significant impact on the goals of the organization.
-Review proposed design and process changes and validate, test, and accept responsibility for the resulting quality and compliance resulting from these changes
-Understand and implement regulatory requirements as necessary.
-Frequently seek and use information from other departments. Perform other related duties as required in support of company and departmental objectives.
-Successfully demonstrates an in-depth or breadth of engineering skill(s).
-Must have proficiency with quality tools such as flowcharts, design of experiments, statistical process control, FMEA etc. and applies them to quality improvement efforts.
-Ability to work within a changing environment.
-Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel on all levels and utilize constructive confrontation techniques when faced with challenging issues.
- Understand and apply engineering principles. Statistics knowledge
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) as required for the position.
