The General Procurement Senior Buyer is:
responsible for the acquisition of goods and/or services for the assigned commodities and ensuring compliance to the General Procurement (non-flying products and services procurement) process for the A220 Program at Mirabel location.
assigned to Manufacturing Technologies Products &Services including the following commodities: Machines /tooling/jigs/production consumables / logistic services/Transport services
expected, during the first months, to contribute and possibly lead portions of projects which will drive integration to the General Procurement team regionally and worldwide.
In your role, you will:
Define, cascade and implement a proactive procurement strategy within your commodities to support the A220 Program and the Final Assembly line.
Develop, foster and enhance multi-departmental relationship(s) with internal customers and vendors in strategic and transactional activities.
Bring strategic visions and by understanding & influencing the strategic business decisions (e.g. make or buy, innovation capture).
Facilitate procurement transactions to fill business needs in compliance with the General Procurement procedures and guidelines.
Develop appropriate sourcing strategies, evaluate and select prospective suppliers, and negotiate agreements that deliver best-in-class value to the organization.
Responsible for ensuring supplier Performance Management measuring on time delivery, quality and cost savings.
Ensure strategic backup vendors are available for high demand and hard to find items.
Establish, maintain, and enhance continuous commercial relationships with best-in-class suppliers working to preserve the best interest for the Company.
Lead procurement project teams to deliver vendor evaluations, audits, new or alternate suppliers, operational procure-to-pay process improvements, etc.
Comply with procurement strategies defined by the Board (GPB) and the Multi-Functional Teams (MFTs).
Contribute and potentially lead project teams to develop and implement operational procurement techniques and guidelines to ensure local alignment to global General Procurement processes.
Identify and deliver savings projects to contribute to overall Airbus Americas Savings Program.
As our ideal candidate,
You have a minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement
You have worked in Indirect Goods and Services Procurement and commodity management structure.
You have a minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in French and English spoken and written.
You possess a certification in project management or supply chain
You have proven successful experience in teamwork in intercultural environment
You are an effective negotiator with proven experiences from call for tenders up to final contract signature
You have experience in delivering cost reduction initiatives
You are familiar to manage daily operational purchasing activities
You have a sense of urgency and able to work under tight deadlines and pressure
You are able to work under minimal supervision
You are able to drive improvement & innovation to deliver concrete results
You have proven communication skills, especially with suppliers' representatives and internal stakeholders
You are used to work with SAP and integrated tendering platforms tools
