Engineer system and software

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage day-to-day activities of QA team members
•Conduct employee training
•Conduct employee evaluation
•Provide support during the hiring and onboarding process
•Assign test plans, scenarios and tasks
•Follow and execute test plans
•Coordinate with the Montreal QA department
•Estimate testing efforts
•Define, collect and report quality and testing metrics
Optional responsibilities:
•Install software (technical) & manage hardware
•Define, collect and report quality and testing metrics.
•Experience with test software like: Sauce Labs, Test Rails, PractiTest, TestLodge
•Experience with JIRA and Atlassian products
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
•Excellent knowledge of Linux, Windows, mobile devices (Android, iOS)
•Excellent knowledge REST and web-services technologies.
•Excellent knowledge of Client-Server web technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
College or University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
•Minimum 1-3 years of experience in testing
•Minimum 1 year team leading
•Must be functional in English
•Experience working in a scrum or agile development environment supporting a software product (not mandatory but is an asset)
•Test certification (not mandatory but is an asset)
•Knowledge of Javascript, REST-API (not mandatory but is an asset)
•Knowledge of API testing (not mandatory but is an asset)
•HTTP (not mandatory but is an asset)
