Digital Copy Editor

The Digital Copy Editor is responsible for drafting and editing customer-facing written materials. The successful candidate will work with the Merchandising Manager and Operations Manager to edit written materials to maintain the professional image of Caribe Concierge and Caribe Dream Vacations. \r
Caribe Concierge is an online marketplace that offers alcohol delivery, restaurant delivery, grocery delivery, on-demand taxi service and Activities & Excursions in the most popular tourist areas of the Dominican Republic. Caribe Dream Vacations is a hospitality company that manages luxury vacation rentals. \r
The Copy Editor will report directly to the Operations Manager of Caribe Concierge, and the position will be based in the operations center of Caribe Concierge in Santo Domingo. \r
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \r
Work with the E-Commerce Merchandiser and Digital Marketing team to proofread text and edit text at various stages of the writing process \r
Engage customers with informative, entertaining, and educational copy\r
Understand and consistently reflect the brand voice of the company in writing style\r
Inform readers on the features of products using accurate and current information\r
Produce email marketing copy for products or services using promotional language designed to motivate\r
Keep abreast of trends in content and style reflected on various popular social media channels\r
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\r
Graduado Universitario en Journalism, English or Equivalent\r
2+ years of copy editing experience preferred\r
Proficiency with applying the principles of style guides, such as the Chicago Manual of Style, to different types of writing\r
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English and Spanish languages\r
Ability to remain detailed-oriented and focused when processing large amounts of text\r
Willingness to collaborate with a team of marketers\r
Strong computer processing skills, especially G Suite \r
Mastery of spelling, grammar and punctuation errors and ability to make constructive suggestions

Requerimientos:
Graduado Universitario en Journalism, English or Equivalent\r
2+ years of copy editing experience preferred
