Funciones
Ensure the interpretation and comprehension of the geology, structural, hydrogeological and exploration data.
Manage the correct collection and interpretation of geotechnical and hydrogeological information.
To interpret, design and report the slopes competency evaluation in all of our designs, being able to make decisions of lower risk to our operation.
Responsible of the administration and control of geotechnical information in the central repository.
Manage the different drill programs (geotechnical and Hydrogeological) of the mine, in order to ensure that the data needed is gathered to be analyzed and to generate information required to administer the future risks of our operation in both geotechnical and hydrogeological.
Develop, manage and report the in the geotechnical and hydrogeological section the budget for technical services.
Work closely to the planning and control team to optimize the performance of technical services.
Evaluate, manage and control the potential risks and hazards for each deposit, also implement and maintain risk controls, monitoring and procedures.
Manage and analyze the hydrogeological data, also to ensure the correct design and analysis of structures of surface drainage and active and passive depressurization according to our plan.
Maintain a drainage and depressurization of both surface and underground water.
Responsible to develop and train the engineers in the stability monitoring, interpretation and risk management, design and management of geotechnical and hydrogeological aspects. Also to ensure the compliance of all the norms of the company.
Supervise the work practices to ensure that the workplace if safe and free of incidents in order to prevent loss of time in the operations. Document and maintain a register of practices found and report the any no compliance of the health and safety policy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related fields.
Bilingual (English / Spanish), required.
10+ years of experience in similar mining operations.
5+ years of experience in supervision role / Chief Geotechnical Engineer in mining operation.
