POSITION SUMMARY
TheBilingual Community Programs Supervisoris responsible for overseeing Puentes de Esperanza program services and contracts including program development, implementation, and reporting. The Supervisor will interview, select, andmanagebilingual advocates providing program services. Monitors compliance with requirements including financial and programmatic components. Provides advocacy and support services toSpanish-speakingindividuals and families. Represents the agency at community events and meetings and provides direct client services as needed. Models CARE principles for staff and clients and support staff as they provide services aligned with the CARE model.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interviews, hires, and selects staff for employment in various programs; monitors compliance with grant requirements and assists staff to resolve barriers to achieving the expectations of the grant. Provides direction to program services and assists staff to resolve service delivery obstacles.
Assures that accurate and complete data is compiled in the Salesforce systems as required by the grant in order to document the compliance with the goals, objectives, and quantity of services. Participates in the ongoing development and related activities of the comprehensive quality improvement process. Prepares programmatic reports as required by the funder and agency.
Monitors expenditures on a monthly basis and makes spending adjustments as needed to assure that the grant is neither over nor underspent.
Works with the Director of Community Support Services to develop program services that supportSpanish-speakingfamilies and the agency's mission. Maintains awareness of program needs and identifies potential matches between opportunities and program priorities for program development and/or expansion.
Conducts outreach toSpanish-speakingfamilies for community resources and support. Participates in and supports additional community events as an organization representative.
Develops partnerships amongst service providers and businesses for interpretation and translation contracts and identification of community resources. Accepts calls from community resources and personnel from other agencies after regular business hours.
Adheres to agency personnel policies. Assures that staff comply with agency policies and procedures, including training requirements. Monitors and maintains training records of all program staff as identified by the agency and/or funder.
TheBilingual Community Programs Supervisorwill assist in training and mentoring newly hired employees upon completion of the new hire orientation.
Remains knowledgeable about public benefits, community resources, and their respective eligibility; assists and advocates on behalf of clients to assure that they receive services and benefits that they are eligible for and need.
Must be certified in the CARE practice model and provides support to team members consistent with CARE principles. This includes shift planning, coaching, and decision-making support for staff on duty.
Monitors all case assistance requests forSpanish-speakingfamilies involved with the Department of Children & Family Services and responds to requests for services when needed.
Must be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and capable of performing crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques with fidelity to the TCI model. Expected to conduct TCI methods as required.
Will actively seek to prevent behavioral crises, de-escalate crises as they occur, and respond to crises in accordance with TCI guidelines.

Fluency in English and Spanish
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to recruit sites for program implementation and community leaders within the target area
Ability to engage youth, parents, and community leaders around difficult issues and topics
Ability to coach and train individuals using a strengths-based approach
Understanding of community needs and Latino culture and the ability to analyze data about the service site
Critical thinking within a fast-paced environment
Project management with attention to detail
Interpersonal and communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A High School diploma or GED: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Must be bilingual (Spanish & English) and have experience working with the Latino population for 2+ years.
Exhibit the leadership qualities required of this position.
Must possess and retain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
The personal characteristics and experiential background that enables theBilingual Community Support Supervisorto provide appropriate care for children and adults, develop positive, therapeutic relationships with them, guide them in their development, and actively engage the Spanish-speaking community.
Ability to receive a DCFS/CANTS Clearance.
CARE & TCI
One of the essential job functions of any position within the agency is to align their performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. All decisions, actions, communication, and performance should align with the six CARE principles (Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship-Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma-Informed). Not only must a staff complete the CARE training with satisfactory participation, but they must then put that training into practice in their everyday work.
Every employee must also pass TCI training with a satisfactory grade in written and/or physical testing. All employees must remain current on refresher training that is provided monthly at all locations. Staff will be tested every 6 months on the physical portion, if applicable to the position. Staff will be tested annually on the written portion regardless of the position. If staff is not current on the TCI refresher training every six months, they will be required to retake the full course. If they do not pass either test, they may be required to retake the full course. Not only must a staff complete the TCI training with satisfactory participation, but they must then put that training into practice in their everyday work.
