**Role/Purpose**

Manage team to ensure smooth and continuous operations in product and process engineering. Lead a team of professional/technical individuals to provide support in projects for the manufacturing area. This includes automation and integration projects for new and existing products, applied technology for cost reduction, quality/reliability, ergonomics and delivery improvement. In addition, lead / participate in the validation and implementation of changes related to the projects. A strong engineering background is required to effectively communicate and work with a technical team on a day-to-day basis. This role will oversee a concept development lab and play a large role in supporting design for manufacturing strategies to achieve an optimal process design.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and/or lead a small team within assigned function.Supervise the activities assigned to the direct reports, ensuring their compliance in support of the applicable projects.

+ Plan and direct assigned portfolio of projects with the accountability for successful completion of assigned project deliverables.Aside from asset management, may manage a portion of the budget.

+ Identify opportunities and lead the execution of changes to drive improvements including the use of engineering methods (Six Sigma, Lean) and DFM for the continuous improvement of processes and products.

+ Approve complex engineering documents including equipment design/URS/specs, and risk management documents with robust knowledge on design control requirements.Ensure FAT/SAT/IQ and other validation activities successful completion.
+ Develop team members to increase business acumen and functional skills

+ Act as SME for complex technology issues where analysis of issues requires in-depth knowledge of field

+ Other incidental duties

**Education and Experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial, or related Engineering field is required.

+ Master's Degree or equivalent in related field is required.

+ 6 years experience required, preferably working in a regulated industry
+ Proven experience in a leadership or key role in large scale transformational projects with cross-functional team coordination is preferred.

+ Automation or New Technology Transfer experience is highly desirable.

**Required Skills**
+ Ability to manage technical and/or engineering disciplines and demonstrated informal mentoring and/or peer leadership skills

+ Proven successful project management skills

+ Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite and related systems

+ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
+ Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

+ Extensive understanding of engineering procedures while defining team operating standards

+ Extensive understanding of related aspects of engineering processes and/or systems

+ Basic financial acumen as it relates to engineering (e.g., material and capital expenditures and product costing)
+ Demonstrated skill set to manage small team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

+ Ability to influence cross-functional partners

+ Ability to integrate metrics into the projects and operations

+ Strict attention to detail
+ Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

+ Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

+ Primarily interacts with internal subordinates and other supervisors

+ Typically interacts with external suppliers, vendors and/or customers
+ Share information and provides basic problem solving solutions; gains cooperation of others, conducts presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules
