- Sr Manufacturing Engineer 1

6+ years’ experience in an process and/or manufacturing engineering function within a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of new process development, project management, ISO or FDA quality systems and manufacturing processes.

• Develop and lead continuous improvement ideas, projects and initiatives; must be able to identify the root cause of a problem, develop a plan to address the problem, implement the plan, then verify that the corrective action has been effective as well as report and analyze post project success to validate ROI.

• Function as the Manufacturing Engineer and/or Operations liaison working to coordinate and facilitate smooth product launch transitions from Development to production.

• Review job costing data and analyze routers comparing correct production methods with actual methods being used on production floor; update work instructions as needed and re-train production employees if necessary.

• Improve labor efficiency; improve existing efficiencies and work on ideas to improve throughput through automation, process improvements and line balancing.

• Improve existing product manufacturing methods through lean manufacturing; select the appropriate equipment and tooling. Facilitate required changes with Engineering.

• If a project is being produced in other global locations or at one of our partners, frequent conference calls and visits will be required to ensure the project is being completed per customers’ requirements and in accordance with safety and organizational policies.

• Capacity Analysis; determine when and what equipment will need to be purchased for new programs.

• Ensure Maximum Material Yields by monitoring and improving the production process.

• Supplier/Vendor Selection and evaluation, as required.
